# TerminalX.sh > TerminalX.sh is a local-first SSH, SFTP, Mosh, Telnet and Serial client for macOS, Windows and Linux. Pay once (from $9 during the launch), own it for life: no subscription, no account, no telemetry. Hosts, keys and snippets live in an encrypted vault on your machine (Argon2id + XChaCha20-Poly1305). Built with Tauri, not Electron. Key facts: - One-time pricing: $9 for the first 500 licenses, $19 for the next 250, then $29 standard. Every future update included. 14-day refund via Polar. - Protocols: SSH (password, key, certificate, agent, keyboard-interactive/2FA prompts, passphrase prompts, jump hosts, agent forwarding, port knocking), SFTP (dual-pane), Mosh, Telnet, Serial, plus port forwarding (local/remote/dynamic SOCKS5) and port knocking. - Local-first: no account, no cloud vault, no sync requirement, no analytics. Works offline. - License check: the app activates your Polar license key on first run and re-validates it once a week (a revoked key locks the app until an active key is entered); between checks it runs fully offline. - Migrations: importers for ~/.ssh/config, PuTTY, SecureCRT, MobaXterm, CSV and Termius exports (best-effort, reverse-engineered format). - Platforms: macOS, Windows, Linux. One license covers the machines you personally use. - Not shipped yet: cross-device sync, team vaults, collaboration, audit logs, managed AI. ## Key pages - [Home](https://terminalx.sh/): product overview, live app preview, features, comparison, roadmap, pricing. - [Pricing](https://terminalx.sh/#pricing): launch tiers ($9 → $19 → $29), lifetime updates, 14-day refund. - [Compare](https://terminalx.sh/#compare): TerminalX vs typical cloud SSH subscriptions, row by row. - [Privacy](https://terminalx.sh/privacy): what stays on your machine, what the website and checkout collect. - [Terms](https://terminalx.sh/terms): the one-time license terms. - [Refunds](https://terminalx.sh/refund): the 14-day refund policy and how to claim it. - [50% back](https://terminalx.sh/back): post about TerminalX, get half (or all) of your money back. ## Guides - [Best SSH clients](https://terminalx.sh/guides/best-ssh-clients): how to choose an SSH client for Mac, Windows and Linux. - [Termius alternatives](https://terminalx.sh/guides/termius-alternatives): why people leave subscription clients, and the local-first option. - [Best SFTP clients](https://terminalx.sh/guides/best-sftp-clients): dual-pane workflows, drag & drop, permissions. - [TerminalX vs Termius](https://terminalx.sh/guides/vs-termius): a fair row-by-row comparison. - [SSH client for Windows](https://terminalx.sh/guides/ssh-client-for-windows): OpenSSH, Windows Terminal, PuTTY, WSL, and where a GUI client fits. - [SSH glossary](https://terminalx.sh/guides/ssh-glossary): agents, known_hosts, TOFU, ProxyJump, SOCKS5, PTY, Mosh, octal permissions and more. ## Optional - [Full text for AI tools](https://terminalx.sh/llms-full.txt): the complete product summary with FAQs. - [Sitemap](https://terminalx.sh/sitemap.xml)
