Terms
The terms of your licence
Last updated October 7, 2026
Plain-language terms for buying and using TerminalX: one payment, a lifetime licence for your own machines, updates included, and a 14-day refund if it is not for you.
This agreement
These terms apply when you buy or use TerminalX.sh. By completing checkout or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app and request a refund within the refund window.
Your licence
- A purchase is a one-time payment for a perpetual licence to use TerminalX on the machines you personally use.
- Every future update to the app is included for the life of the licence. There is no separate upgrade fee and no subscription.
- You may not resell, sublicense, rent or redistribute the app or your licence key.
- You may not repackage the app as your own product. You may not use it to attack systems you do not own or have permission to access.
- The source code is not licensed to you by these terms unless a separate repository licence says otherwise.
Pricing and payment
Launch pricing is shown on the site and rises in steps as licence batches sell out: $9 for the first 500 licences, $19 for the next 250, then $29 standard. The price you paid at checkout is the price for that purchase.
Payments are processed by Polar, our merchant of record. Your invoice and payment details come from Polar; your licence key arrives by email.
Refunds
Every purchase includes a 14-day refund window. See the refund policy for the exact process.
Updates and availability
We ship fixes and new features regularly, but we do not promise a specific release schedule. The roadmap on the site describes intent, not obligation, and features can change or be dropped.
The app depends on your machine and network, not on our servers. We may still retire or change update infrastructure and the website at any time.
Disclaimer and liability
TerminalX is provided as is, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. It is a tool for connecting to systems you are responsible for; you are responsible for how you use it, your credentials, and the security of the machines you connect to.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the app or these terms is limited to the amount you paid for your licence.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. Questions: [email protected].
Something unclear? Email [email protected] and we will answer like a human.
